Commercial Analyst

Due to our continual growth, we are poised for expansion and are seeking a Commercial Analyst to join the team based in York. This is a full-time permanent position and in return, you will receive a competitive salary depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits including Group Life Insurance, Simply Health, Denplan, Optical Care, Cycle to Work Scheme and Free Parking.

The Role

As a Commercial Analyst, you will be driving company performance, optimising the company’s commercial proposition, and protecting the business’ operating margins. This role will give the successful candidate exposure to a wide array of commercial support activities across all areas of the business. This role is key in providing analytical insight to inform business strategy and decisions.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Control and monitor airtime supplier commercial terms.
  • Production and analysis of call and rental margins.
  • To be responsible for the communication of new products and offers to the sales team.
  • Commercial contact point for sales and senior managers ensuring accurate pricing to our customers.
  • To assist with stock and connection management to maximise margins.
  • To review tariffs with Vodafone/O2 and other global networks to ensure effective cost management and to protect margins.
  • A proactive approach to maximise network incentives and bonuses
  • To provide commercial modelling of large events and tenders e.g. Olympics, World Cup etc.
  • Proactive approach to risk management including FX risks.
    Key Skills / Experience
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of attention for detail, a diligent approach to work to meet deadlines and prioritise competing demands.

Graduate Accountant

Due to our continual growth, we are poised for expansion and are seeking an Accountant to join the team based in York. The Role

The Accountant role offers an insight into the production of the group management accounts within a busy, international organisation, and will also support the commercial finance function to help drive company performance.

Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, this position will be responsible for performing key accounting analysis, journals and reconciliations for a number of subsidiary companies. This position will also work closely with the Assistant Commercial Analyst to optimise the company’s commercial proposition and protect the business’ operating margins.

Main Responsibilities
    Month End Close
  • To post and analyse Cellhire Group monthly sales figures;
  • To post and reconcile subsidiary bank payments and receipts;
  • To post and reconcile inter-Cellhire Group recharges;
  • To post, maintain and reconcile Cellhire Group depreciation and fixed asset registers;
  • Assist in finalising the monthly accounts for the Cellhire Group in accordance with the month-end close schedule;
  • Providing detailed commentary and variance analysis on financial results against budget and prior year;
  • Assist with the completion of the Cellhire Group trial balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Assist with the completion of the Cellhire Group monthly management information pack;
  • Responsibility for the completion, development and improvement of several balance sheet controls;
  • Inputting of all accounting journals as required.
    Finance Planning and Analysis
  • Active role in the production of the Cellhire Group annual financial budgets;
  • Active role in the production of the Cellhire Group year-end accounts and audit process;
  • Deal efficiently with any queries from customers, suppliers or the sales department;
  • Ad-hoc projects/added value reporting required from the accounting team.
    Commercial Accounting
  • Assist in providing commercial support to ensure accurate pricing to our customers;
  • Assist in building necessary pricing structures and tariffs;
  • Provide accurate connection bonus calculations to Cellhire’s reseller customers;
  • Assist with supplier network audits and proactively help to manage costs through call and rental feed checks.
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • Understanding of Management Accounts, trial balance and balance sheets.
  • Wishing to study in CIMA or ACCA.
  • High level of attention for detail, a diligent approach to work to meet deadlines and prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong under pressure; someone who is seeking a new challenge.

  • Highly organised with excellent time management and admin skills.
